Ted Kirkpatrick's Corned Beef

Ted is remembered for cooking the most delicious, mouth-watering Corned Beef. He shared his recipe with my husband, and we have enjoyed it for over 20 years! Give it try and I think you'll agree this is simply the best.

You will need a Corned Beef brisket with the seasonings in the packet. Take that packet and throw it away! :)

Put the unseasoned Corned Beef brisket in a 5 qt (or larger) Dutch oven and cover with water. Then add the following:

  • 1 bay leaf
  • 12 peppercorns (more if you really like pepper)
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Cook according to the directions on the package; slice and enjoy!
