Waldport to Philomath

Just past Tidewater, looking

eastward.

Just past Tidewater, looking

eastward.

Around milepost 10 - or 10

miles from Waldport.

Near milepost 20.

You can see some of the

trees that were felled by the

wind storm we had.

The Alsea Summit (or Mary's

Peak) ringed in fog.

Majestic ...

... yet foreboding.

Across the valley floor.

A Pictorial Drive

Page 1

Tues, 12/19/06 -- We left

Waldport around 10am and

drove Hwy. 34 over to Hwy 20

in Philomath. The temp was

cold when we started (28F),

and got colder as we

approached Mary's Peak (24F).

I admit I shivered every time I

got out of the car to snap a

picture, and it was hard to hold

the camera steady. I really was

glad when the battery blinked

out. Heh!

Just click the first picture to

start the slide show. Hope you

enjoy the majesty and beauty

of our area.
